Content Creator and Content Saver:
Historical Content

I have a BFA in Graphic Design and I added a Graduate Certificate in Archival Administration. So I am uniquely familiar with the entire lifecycle of visual communications: from the initial creative spark to a final produced version – then preserving the item and making it accessible for future generations.

I have experience identifying historical content and using it to bring graphic design layouts to life. I have scoured archives and uncovered eye-catching vintage content for ads, magazine articles, social media posts, and more.

Below are a few projects in which the historical content that I tracked down helped bring the layouts to life.

Wayne State University – Historical Photos Colorization

Using Adobe Photoshop’s Colorization Neural Filter AI tool, I added color to several historic black and white photographs from Wayne State University’s archives. Four were selected to be used in a #FlashbackFriday social media post to kick off the school’s homecoming weekend.

The text in the post reads: You may not need color to be bold, but it does bring a little bit of shine to these campus memories!
